Outfit of the week

So this weekend we have faced a new dilemma.. what to wear during a heatwave that is breastfeeding friendly and minimises two sweaty bodies making each other even more sweaty 😂😂.

I will save you all from witnessing what I’ve been wearing this past weekend, so here is an outfit from earlier on in the week, before the heatwave kicked in.

A light cotton t-shirt from Zara, with some New look jeggings, with some comfy sandals from Asos ðŸ˜.

All of the summer clothes sales have started but I am trying my very best to avoid looking online as it really is time I did something about my baby weight! From tomorrow I am actually starting a healthy eating plan! Wish me luck..

Outfit of the week

So this week we had yet another wedding meaning another ‘formal’ feeding friendly outfit to find. As I didn’t have time to get to the shops, I had massss of online deliveries arrive all week, and finally caught a moment when both babies were napping to try it ALL on and settled for this lovely outfit..

Both the top and skirt are from Asos and both items are currently half price.. I’ve added the links below..

Embellished white top
Metallic Skirt
I felt great and the outfit was perfect for feeding in which was ideal as my little monkey wouldn’t drink the expressed milk I had taken for him!

Outfit of the week

In the search for some new breastfeeding friendly clothes, I stumbled upon the website Shein. Stylish, on trend clothes and very reasonably priced.

I’m still waiting for the haul of things to arrive (the two downsides I’ve found so far is, your items come sporadically and take a very long time to arrive). But so far I am loving this T shirt.

I wore it with high waisted jeans and a vest underneath so I could feed by pulling the tshirt over and the vest down. Oh and my Adidas sandals. And I felt great wearing it 🙂

Outfit of the week

So this week we attended a wedding and I had the dilemma of what to wear that I could also easily breastfeed in (and hide my mum tum in 😂).

I found this lovely wrap dress from River Island.. as it was wrapped at the front it was easy to feed in without having to take the dres off! Perfect!

Apologies for the poor images, these were taken at the very end of the night after running around with a screaming baby for pretty much the entire wedding!

Outfit of the week

As the weather has been so unpredictable and cold lately I’ve had to dig out clothes from my autumn/winter wardrobe. Summer hurry up please.

This black jumpsuit from Asos (from the Asos White collection) is perfect for this weather and really really easy to feed in as it has a zip down front. I wore a tshirt underneath for OUOD (one up one down) for even more discrete feeding. Oh and I’m still loving my current favourite mum shoes, my leather converses 😍.

Outfit of the week..

Soo last week I slipped up and didn’t do an outfit post.. blame the two mini men in my life, so hard to catch a break and even harder to get anybody to take a photo for you when you spend the majority of your time with two little people!

But this week I’m back on it.. here is my favourite breastfeeding friendly outfit of the week.. an oversized cropped sweater from Zara, paired with some high wasted jeans by Monki. I’m officially a mum now I’m in high waisted jeans.. they do a great thing by sucking EVERYTHING in, but I’m still not used to the new wider looking me 😂.

By wearing a vest top underneath the crop it was so easy to feed in and so discreet. Wish I had known about this easy way to feed with baby number one! Oh well, you live and you learn. Have a lovely weekend people, let’s keep our fingers crossed for more sun!

Outfit of the week

I’m loving Zara at the minute, resulting in lots of late night online shopping binges during night feeds but not knowing what will or won’t suite my new postpartum shape means I’ve made multiple trips into town already to return most of it 😂.

One item I did keep was this colourful shirt blouse, which was so easy to feed in. I wore a vest underneath for OUOD and fed discreetly. You could also just undo the buttons. It’s loose so perfect to hide my new mum tum! Also wearing some ‘mum fit’ trousers from zara. So I didn’t look like I was on my way to the office with two babies in tow, I opted for some causal pastel with rose gold detailed leather Converse shoes 😍.

Outfit of the week..

Are any other new mums struggling with their new post pregnancy shape?? I certainly am! Also uber bored of all my old clothes and my old ‘breastfeeding friendly’ pieces. This, coupled with the fact I barely have time to shower and get dressed and look sooo drained from the lack of sleep, is making me feel very ‘Mumsy’ on a day to day basis.

As I’m more experienced with breastfeeding this time (less fumbling involved) I’m more comfortable with OUOD (one up one down) so I’ll be on the hunt for more clothes suitable for this, whilst also sticking to buttoned clothes (but trying to find some more exciting ones 😂). To motivate me to actually make an effort to like half decent every once in a while, I’m going to attempt to upload a breastfeeding friendly outfit of the week.. so here is my first one..

I am head to toe in Zara, and I wore a vest undernead for OUOD 😍

A tiny bit addicted to…

Since becoming a mum, I have become increasingly addicted to online shopping. It started with clothes when I couldn’t get out the house easily to find nursing friendly clothes, but now I’m a full blown addict. I used to hate shopping online before!

Now I buy EVERYTHING online.. household items, babies clothes and everyday bits, my clothes, toys, presents, the food shop, and I think I hit an all time record yesterday when I ordered shampoo and conditioner 😂.

It’s gotten so bad that the DPD delivery guy has been here every day for the last week, and that’s the same DPD guy every time. It’s got to the stage where I now request for the parcel to be left in the porch so that I don’t have to face him..

And don’t get me started on returns. The lady in the post office must also think I’m crazy, returning a parcel back to ASOS nearly every day! I never even used to like ASOS.

This morning I have already placed three online orders with Zara. That’s my other problem, I can’t just decide in one go, I keep going back and place multiple orders. Oh and ladies if you didn’t know, the sale is now on, and I’ve snapped up some bargains!

I think I need to get out the house more and go to actual shops, it’s just kind of hard when you have a baby to entertain constantly. Speaking of baby, he’s finally awake so I better get up. We have a super exciting day today.. He’s going to meet his new best friend for life..

I dunno about you.. But I’m feeling 22

So I finally went shopping, baby free, for the first time in eight and a half months. I was only running to the shops to exchange some shoes, I had just over an hour until I had to be back for my babies next nap, and I think I went a little haywire. It wasn’t my fault..

As I chatted to the beautician threading my eyebrows (another reason for the trip to town), she asked me if I was going to college that day. I laughed and explained that I am infact nearly thirty and have an 8 month old baby. She wouldn’t believe me until I showed her photos and insisted I looked so young. I was chuffed, I get this a lot, and I secretly love it. The compliment obviously got to my head.

I needed to exchange shoes in Forever 21. I don’t really shop here anymore, as the clothes are aimed at much younger ladies. I had been in a month earlier with my husbands little sister, and had picked up some shoes that day. They didn’t fit, and it was the last day to exchange or return. I never go shopping post baby as all breastfeeding friendly clothes are pretty yucky, so it literally took me until the very last day to go.

So, anyway, I walked into said shop feeling pretty pleased with myself, found the correct shoe size, and made my way to the counter. Enroute I picked a few more items in the space of about five minutes. Here’s what I got..

When I got home, I had to laugh to myself when I looked through my haul. I was obviously feeling ’21’ when I picked these items. ‘Not your Bae’, I just about understand the word ‘bae’, having never used it, and not planning to either. And the glittery joggers were my attempt to ‘look cool’ when going for long walks with the pushchair. Its been so long since I went shopping that I think I’ve forgotten how how old I actually I am and how to shop for clothes appropriate to my age.

The shoes and striped dress is pretty cute though, I can pull those off as ‘mum clothes’. And how cute is my personalised Kate Spade Tumbler that I grabbed from the food hall in Selfridges. Not sure why I need this but I convinced myself that it will encourage me to drink more water.

When taking a closer look, the ‘Not your Bae’ vest has side slits so is breastfeeding friendly and will come in useful. Can’t wait to wear it with those glittery joggers and look like a teen mom 😄. When looking through my purchases and laughing to myself, couldn’t help but sing Taylor swifts ’22’ in my head. Yes I may be a mum, nearly 30, with lots of grey hair, covered in puke, and the most unglamorous I have ever felt.. but today I felt young again, so thanks randomly lady in the eyebrow place.
